Cambridge Vet Services has consistently served the Cambridge community with quality veterinary care and products since 1944. We provide the highest standards of medical and surgical care for each of our patients. Our friendly team consists of six production animal veterinarians, six small animal veterinarians, five receptionists and office staff with six veterinary nurses. We use the latest information, technology and equipment for the care of your animals and herds.

Cat Doctor North Shore is the first cat only clinic on the shore. A lot of people don’t understand that cats are unique beings, but here at Cat Doctor we understand this and aim to provide the best care that’s specifically tailored for cats. Whether your cat needs a vaccination, a check-up, or surgery, we will be here for you and your cat throughout the whole process.

We provide advanced, compassionate veterinary surgical and dental care for your cats and dogs, in a purpose built veterinary hospital with the ability to offer 24 hour veterinary monitoring.

Our veterinarians carry out a wide range of medical and pre-surgical assessments for companion animals. Veterinary nurse appointments are available for suture removals, administering worming treatments, flea treatment applications, expressing anal sacs, nail clipping and weight management. These must be booked prior to arrival to ensure a veterinary nurse is available. Our veterinary nurses also groom cats. These patients usually need to be admitted at 8 am as the groom takes place during the day. Sedation is usually required. We do not groom dogs.

Our experienced team is passionate about pets, and we’re really excited to welcome you and your pet. We have been providing quality care to animals in the Mount Maunganui and Papamoa region for over 30 years and pride ourselves on our high standard of care. We have two well equipped clinics. The Bayfair clinic is located on Farm Street, across the road from the Bayfair shopping centre in Mount Maunganui. The Papamoa clinic is on Percy Road, close to the Papamoa Plaza. Both clinics use interlinked computer system, so you can visit whichever branch is more convenient and have easy access to your pets medical history. The impressive brick and concrete building we work out of is the old Eltham Courthouse, opened in 1908 by then Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward. It was purchased by this organisation after closure by the Department of Justice in 1951 and is now classified as an Historic Place. Our fully stocked shelves contain all your animal health needs for large and small animals. Open plan, and easy to find what you're looking for, there is always someone ready to help you decide what you need. We recently (winter 2019) renovated and earthquake strengthened our reception, retail and consultation area in the old historic courthouse building and added an extra consultation room to allow for the increasing amount of companion animal work we are doing.
